Ever wonder what the WiSys cabinet (.cab) files do for you? In a nutshell, our cab files shake hands easily with your server. Here’s the scoop.
The cab files are compressed program files used during the installation of WiSys software on a handheld scanner. Cab files contain the drivers, system files and other Windows components needed to configure each handheld unit.
The use of a cab file for the handhelds sets up connections to the network for the handheld user, thereby making it simpler for the user to log on. This reduces the complexity of establishing a remote connection to your corporate terminal servers, managing server credentials, etc.
