March’s Tailoring of The Month discusses how to change a standard form’s functionality by adding a filtering field to it.
In this 30-minute video, we change the out-of-the-box goods issue form into an “Expired Batch Issue” form by utilizing an expired batch field as a filter. This form uses the standard Goods Issue transaction but only allows the user to issue from a list containing the SAP company’s expired batches. All information necessary to perform the transaction is automatically filled in based on the batch selected. This is an easy way to completely change a form’s functionality while utilizing a standard transaction.
